This presentation was in partnership with the Migration Policy Institute. The goal was to highlight the impact of trauma among young children of immigrants and refugees, and the ways in which early childhood programs can buffer the adverse impact of trauma. Experts in child development, early childhood mental health, and home visiting service providers discussed the role of early childhood programs as opportunities to engage immigrant and refugee families and promote mental wellbeing for young children.
